'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane dampens on Premier League return

Kane marks his 100th goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has stated that his enthusiasm in returning to the Premier League has lessened and he is open to explore a new deal with Bayern Munich.

The star striker is at the moment halfway through the four-year deal he signed when moving to from Tottenham Hotspur for 86.4 million pounds in the offseason of 2023.

The 32-year-old forward has netted an remarkable 103 goals in 106 games for the German side, contributing them win the 2024-25 Bundesliga championship - which represented the maiden important honor of his illustrious career.

Tottenham coach Thomas Frank has recently mentioned that he would welcome to see Kane come back to England, where he requires 48 goals to surpass Alan Shearer's all-time Premier League scoring milestone of 260.

However, the England skipper has now clarified that he is no longer as eager about going back home as he once was, and would certainly consider extending his time in Bavaria.

"In terms of staying longer, I could certainly see that," he remarked.

"I spoke openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those conversations with Bayern yet, but if they were to occur I would be prepared to talk and have an honest conversation.

"Obviously it relies on how the next year or so progresses and what we achieve together. Right now, I would say we are in a excellent moment and I am not considering about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had asked me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would likely say that has decreased a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have realized in my career is that different options and different moments happen and things work out. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am completely all in with Bayern."

Record-breaking Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the record top scorer for both Tottenham and England and not long ago became the speediest player this century to achieve 100 goals for a club playing in one of Europe's top five competitions, attaining the milestone in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a title had escaped him until he secured the German title last season.

Kane admits that he was not sure how he would respond after ending his trophy wait, but now feels it has made him hungry for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be natural to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he added.

"But it's given me more motivation to do more and be better. I think I've shown that this year.

"I was interested in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to accomplish in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I challenged myself the other way in terms of being even better, eating even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."

Looking Ahead

  • Ongoing success with Bayern Munich remains Kane's primary focus
  • The chance of a Premier League return has noticeably decreased
