Large-scale Moscow's Assaults Disrupt Electricity In Kyiv

Power facilities targeted in the region
Ukraine's energy systems have faced escalating attacks in the past few days

Overnight, Moscow's missile and drone strikes have led to electricity outages in multiple districts of Ukraine's capital, Kyiv.

Several individuals were wounded while local people in eastern neighborhoods were left without electricity and encountered disruption to water supplies, per reports from municipal leaders.

At the same time, a minor was killed in a separate Russian drone strike in the Zaporizhzhia area in the country's south-east, according to area administrators.

Russian forces has intensified attacks on energy facilities over recent weeks, while Ukrainian leadership has called for "real steps" from international partners to exert influence on Moscow.

"What's needed is not window dressing but firm measures - from the America, European nations and the Group of Seven - in providing protection systems and implementing penalties," he wrote in a public message.

Officials stated that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and over thirty rockets struck Ukraine's energy infrastructure, describing such strikes as "premeditated" and against "critical infrastructure" as temperatures become colder.

Government representatives said Russia was "conducting extensive attacks" and repair crews were laboring to repair systems.

A barrage of missiles struck power facilities and civilian homes in the capital.

Multiple people wounded in the assaults on the capital have been hospitalized, according to local officials.

Regional authorities said the urban area experienced heavy assaults during nighttime hours. A seven-year-old child was killed and three other people were wounded.

The assaults succeed evenings of bombing campaigns in the territory, sections of which are occupied by invading troops.

The entire country is under warning for advanced weapon attacks, which are more difficult to identify.

National leaders told journalists that Russia was deliberately attempting to demolish the electrical infrastructure, with strikes already affecting energy systems.

He said technical personnel and officials were preparing for additional strikes.
